The fall foliage peak period around the region will last approximately 15 days, from October 7-21. During the period, residents can expect to see the incredible gold, orange, and red colors.

So if you are fall hikes seasoned by vibrant leaf colors, now may be the best time to plan your visit to national parks or trails in or near the District.
