Level I Arboretum Accreditation

We are proud to announce that Oak Hill Cemetery has been accredited as a Level I Arboretum by the ArbNet Program. The program, sponsored and coordinated by The Morton Arboretum in cooperation with the American Public Gardens Association and Botanic Gardens Conservation International, is the only global initiative to officially recognize arboreta based on a set of professional standards. Oak Hill is now listed in the Morton Register of Arboreta, a database of the world’s arboreta and gardens dedicated to woody plants. We welcomed a visit from ArbNet Coordinator Sue Paist (pictured here with OHC Superintendent Paul Williams and Groundskeeper Jorge Robles) in September to tour our grounds.
