We are delighted to have Ecological Historian Michael Gaige return for two Historic Tree Talks at Oak Hill on Sunday November 9th. Enjoy the Fall colors while learning about the cemetery’s oldest trees. We are offering a seated Lecture in the Renwick Chapel, for those who do not wish to walk the grounds, where he will present the findings of his 2024/25 Oak Hill Cemetery Significant Tree Report.

Michael Gaige is an independent consulting ecologist based in upstate New York. His work explores the intersection of nature, culture, and history at the landscape level. Michael works with organizations, private landowners, and design teams on park and landscape projects, historical ecology inventories, and conservation planning for natural areas. His projects include the Saratoga Battlefield National Historic Park and the Oak Spring Garden Foundation.
